Toba Tek Singh 'qari' arrested over abusing, sexually harassing student

TOBA TEK SINGH: A 'qari' who allegedly subjected his student to torture and sexual harassment for not revising his lesson was arrested Monday here in the city's Gojra Tehsil, police said.

According to police, the alleged sexual predator — identified as Qari Mushtaq — was apprehended after a video of the incident in People's Colony surfaced and a first information report (FIR) was registered on on behalf of the minor boy's grandfather.

Police added that Qari Mushtaq, the accused, was sent to the jail on a judicial remand.
