KARACHI: Bollywood acting mogul Amitabh Bachchan's Twitter profile was hacked on Monday by Turkish cyber attackers' group called Ayyildiz Tim.

The hackers changed the Twitter bio of Bachchan's account to "Actor … well at least some are STILL saying so !! Love Pakistan" with the flag of Turkey.

In the first tweet, they wrote: "This is an important call to the whole world! We do condemn the irrespective behaviors of Iceland republic towards Turkish footballers.

"We speak softly but carry a big stick and inform you about the big Cyber attack here," they added, linking their Instagram account with the message: "We are waiting for your support."

"The Indian State, who mercilessly attacks the Muslims fasting in the month of Ramadan, is attacking the Ummah Muhammad in this age! Indian Muslims are entrusted to us by Abdulhamid," another tweet read.

Ayyildiz Tim, the Turkish hackers' group, has in the past hacked the Twitter accounts of Bachchan's son, Abhishek, Indian Ambassador to UN Syed Akbaruddin, Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor, Anupam Kher, and Kriti Sanon, as well as various websites of the governments of the United States, Britain, Netherlands, Denmark, China, Russia, and Egypt.
