Gujranwala man shoots dead stepdaughter, wounds wife over domestic dispute

GUJRANWALA: A man opened fire on his family over a domestic dispute on Tuesday, shooting dead his stepdaughter and critically wounding his wife, authorities in Ghakhar Mandi confirmed.

The man — identified as Akhtar — fled the crime scene, police said, adding that Sana, the 22-year-old stepdaughter, died on the spot, whereas his wife was shifted to district headquarters (DHQ) hospital in a critical condition.

Police noted that they have registered a first information report (FIR) of the incident and commenced a search for the absconding suspect.
