KHANEWAL: A family in a local village allegedly poured cyanoacrylate — a strong adhesive — in the eyes of their ex-son-in-law for divorcing their daughter a few days ago, police confirmed.

According to police, the man had divorced his wife a few days ago over a domestic dispute here in Chak Number 87/10-R. He has been shifted to the district headquarters (DHQ) hospital, they added.

The man in question said he divorced his wife a few days ago over a domestic dispute. His in-laws then called him over to their house to talk about returning the dowry but, instead, trapped him and poured a local brand of adhesive into his eyes.

The suspects have fled, police said, adding that they were conducting raids to search for them.
