Female warden beaten to death in Gaddani jail by foreign woman

KARACHI: A foreign female prisoner is said to have killed a female warden using a stick at Balochistan's Gaddani Jail, officials said on Tuesday.

According to Additional Inspector General Prisons, Hamidullah, 23-year-old Zoya was asleep when she was set upon.

He said the jail warden was murdered by a foreign woman who was arrested under the Foreign Act and was due to be deported.

The DIG said a case has been registered against four female prisoners and an investigation has been launched into the incident. 

The identity and nationality of the alleged murderer was not immediately known.
