In a bid to standardise pitches across the country, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has acquired the services of renowned curator Andy Atkinson.

Atkinson's first task was the inspection of Karachi's National Stadium. As expected, he expressed his astonishment over the decrepit state of equipment at the venue.

Following Karachi, Atkinson is scheduled to visit Rawalpindi, Multan and Lahore — all three of which will host matches in the fifth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

Following the curator’s findings, a report will be sent to the PCB detailing the problems and suggestions of how the quality can be upped to ICC’s standards.

Furthermore, Atkinson will be educating and training local curators during his time in Pakistan.
