Punjab Home Minister warns of terrorist attacks
LAHORE: There are threats to schools, jails, Allama Iqbal Airport, Chinese nationals along with civil and military leaders in Punjab.

Punjab Home Minister Colonel (retd) Shuja Khanzada held a news conference here on Thursday and informed reporters that the province had been placed on red-alert in light of these threats.

During the news conference, the home minister said there could be incidents of kidnapping and kidnapping for ransom of school children. He added that action should be taken against those madrassas against whom credible evidence is available.

Colonel (retd) Khanzada further said a list of those facilitating terrorists was being prepared.

Inspector General Police (IGP) Punjab said a ban was being placed on provocative content and strict action would be taken against those publishing and distributing hateful content. He added that a ban had already been imposed on outlawed organisations.
