Killer of a minor boy arrested

HYDERABAD: Senior Superintendent of Police of Tando Muhammad Khan district Muhammad Ali Baloch has said that the suspected killer of a young boy has been arrested.

At a press conference in Tando Muhammad Khan on Saturday, he said the police took swift action after the Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah took notice of the incident after watching a news report.

The SSP informed that the suspect, Abdul Qayum Sobho, 18, was a maternal cousin of the deceased, Shahnawaz Sobho, 12.

Baloch said that a team led by DSP Amir Hafeez conducted raids in search of the suspects and finally nabbed him.

The body of late Sobho was found on Friday from a well in village Ali Muhammad Sobho where the boy and his family live.

His father told the media that the boy went missing on Thursday afternoon as he left to collect the woods.

According to SHO of Tando Muhammad Khan police station Shakil Jamali, the suspect has been booked under sections 302 and 376 of the criminal procedure code. (APP)
