As the race to the White House intensifies with President Joe Biden facing Republican candidate Donald Trump in November, Barack Obama has jumped into the fray to rescue his former vice president from losing the reelection.

Former President Barack Obama sat for hours in the White House with Joe Biden and discussed the way to defeat Donald Trump amid intensified battleground, according to a CNN report.

In a video call of Obama, Biden, and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, in the White House residence heralding the 14th anniversary of the Affordable Care Act, the former president said: "We have the chance to do even more, but that only happens if we send Joe and Kamala back to the White House in November."

"So, we’ve got to keep working," the 62-year-old said.

CNN reported that "the campaign also recorded other content featuring the two presidents that they plan to roll out in the coming weeks."

Obama keeps in close contact with the officials of the Biden administration on a regular basis.

He has been helping the 81-year-old Biden in his reelection bid by fundraising and meetings.

In a fundraiser, two former presidents Obama and Bill Clinton will sit with Biden in a rare conversation, moderated by Stephen Colbert.

Their sitting shows that the US is in a crucial moment of history where they are in strong spirits to defeat Donald Trump.

“No one can speak to disillusioned Democrats better than President Obama,” CNN quoted a close person of Obama and Biden.
