Prince Harry feud to 'reflect badly' on King Charles when 'history is written'

As King Charles portrays a united front of the royal family, experts believe that Prince Harry rift will “reflect badly on him.”

In the latest piece by New York Times, royal experts suggest that Harry’s desperate “plea to reconcile with his father” could undermine King Charles’ attempts to “model unity.”

“There is an overhang in the way we see Charles's reign. It hasn't really gotten going, nor are we sure how long it will last,” Mr Owens told the outlet.

Meanwhile, ex-BBC royal correspondent Peter Hunt also adds that while Charles’ role is to bring people together he still can't bring people together in his own family.

“When history comes to be written about the king, this will reflect badly on him,” he added. “He represents an institution that is about family, unity and fostering forgiveness. His role is to bring people together, and yet he can't bring people together on his doorstep.”

It is worth mentioning that this comes after Prince Harry’s explosive BBC interview where he publicly revealed that his father King Charles “doesn’t speak to” him anymore.
