King Charles opens Buckingham Palace doors to Prince Harry, report claims

King Charles is making another significant gesture towards Prince Harry. 

According to reports, the monarch plans to invite the Duke of Sussex to stay at Buckingham Palace during his next visit to the UK.

Harry is expected to return to the UK in September for the annual WellChild Awards, a charity event he has supported for many years. 

The reported invitation follows the family's private reunion earlier this month, when Harry travelled to Britain for events marking one year until the 2027 Invictus Games in Birmingham.

During that visit, the Duke is understood to have spent private time with King Charles and Queen Camilla at Highgrove House. 

Meghan Markle and the couple's children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, were also present, making it a rare family gathering after years of public distance.

The latest reports suggest both sides are continuing efforts to rebuild their relationship following a period of well-publicised tensions.

Accommodation had become a major talking point during Harry's previous visit. 

Ahead of his arrival in July, speculation surrounded where he would stay after reports emerged that Buckingham Palace had been made available to him.

However, Harry ultimately did not stay at the royal residence. 

Reports said that the invitation was not accepted before the necessary arrangements were finalised, despite later indications that the Duke had reconsidered.
