Taylor Swift confirms she'll attend the 2026 CMA Awards

Taylor Swift has confirmed she'll attend November's CMA Awards after earning her first Country Music Association nomination in four years. 

Her Toy Story 5 song I Knew It, I Knew You, co-written with Jack Antonoff, landed a Single of the Year nomination at the 60th Annual CMA Awards, announced Thursday, September 10. 

Swift confirmed her plans to attend on Instagram Stories just days before the Chiefs' Week 1 game against the Broncos, writing, "LOOKS LIKE I HAVEN'T YEED MY LAST HAW THANK YOU CMA!!!"

The nomination marks Swift's first appearance in a song or performance category at the CMAs since 2017, when she won Song of the Year for writing Little Big Town's Better Man. 

Her last CMA nomination came in 2022, for Music Video of the Year for her Chris Stapleton collaboration I Bet You Think About Me, and her last Single of the Year nod came all the way back in 2013 for Highway Don't Care with Tim McGraw and Keith Urban. 

I Knew It, I Knew You has become one of the year's biggest country crossover stories, hitting No. 1 on the Hot Country Songs chart, her first country No. 1 in 13 years.

This year's CMA nominations were led by Ella Langley, who picked up nine nods, just shy of Alan Jackson's record of 10 set in 2002, including Entertainer of the Year and Album of the Year for Dandelion. 

Miranda Lambert followed with seven nominations, with Kacey Musgraves and Ben West each earning five. 

The 2026 CMA Awards will air live from Nashville's Bridgestone Arena on November 18, hosted by reigning Entertainer of the Year Lainey Wilson.
