ABU DHABI: New Zealand closed the second day of the first Test at 15-0 in reply to Pakistan´s huge first innings total of 566-3 declared in Abu Dhabi on Monday.
New Zealand closed the day at 15-0 with Brendon McCullum on nine and Tom Latham on five not out as the tourists still trail by 551 runs.
Pakistan´s batsmen enjoyed another run-feast with Younis Khan scoring 100 not out for his 28th century -- fourth in five innings -- while Misbah-ul Haq hit an unbeaten 102 for his third in as many innings.
Opener Ahmed Shehzad made a career best 176 while Azhar Ali scored 87. Corey Anderson finished with 2-68 for New Zealand while Ish Sodhi took 1-162.
