Quetta: Education official attack case registered
QUETTA: Police has registered the case against unknown assailants who injured Deputy Director Schools Syed Ibrar Shah and his companion Akbar Ali by opening fire on them at Shah Waksha Road on Tuesday, Geo News reported Wednesday.

Police sources told that the case has been registered in Gawalmandi police station under the charges of terrorism, murder and attempted murder, however, no arrest has been made so far.

On Tuesday, two unidentified armed men riding a bike opened indiscriminate fire on Syed Ibrar Shah outside his office at Directorate of Education, resultantly, injuring Shah and Akbar Ali.

Police claimed that one of the two assailants was killed when people of the area retaliated against the attackers. Some other sources said that the injured Shah ran over his car on the attackers that killed one of them and injured the other who managed to flee from the scene.

The body of the killed attacker has been kept at the hospital morgue; however, his identity could not be ascertained.
