KARACHI: Shops are closed in some of the towns of the province of Sindh on the call of Sindhi nationalist parties to observe Monday a day of mourning against the Sindh People’s Local Government Act-2012, Geo News reported.
Tando Muhammad Khan and some other towns across the province are observing a day of mourning by keeping shops closed, while traffic on roads also remains thin.
A huge public meeting of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) is being held in the second largest city of the province—Hyderabad in support of the SPLG Act-2012 for which Sindh and Mehran Universities have been closed facilitating the youths to participate in the rally.
