NEW DELHI: Indian external affairs minister, Salman Khurshid reiterated that Jammu and Kashmir is part of India and intervention of any country on this issue will not be accepted, Geo News reported Sunday.
According to Indian media, the reaction from Salman Khurshid came following media reports on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s statement in which the latter demanded of the US to play its role for the resolution of Kashmir issue.
“Kashmir is a part of India, not something that should be questioned. It is a waste of time to question it,” Salman Khurshid was quoted as saying.
He said according to Simla Agreement, Kashmir is a bilateral dispute and India will not accept intervention of any other country on this issue.
The external affairs minister said that India is concerned on situation at the Line of Control (LoC).
