Molla execution Bangladesh’s internal matter, Sartaj Aziz tells Senate
ISLAMABAD: Advisor to Prime Minister on National Security and Foreign Affairs, Sartaj Aziz, Wednesday said that Pakistan’s foreign policy was based on the principles of non-interference and non-favouritism with regard to relations with the neighbouring countries.

Speaking on the floor of Senate about a resolution passed by the National Assembly regarding Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami's executed leader Abdul Quader Mollah, he said Parliament was sovereign and held the authority to pass any resolution.

He, however, said that Foreign Office had stated that Mollah’s execution was an internal issue of Bangladesh.

Aziz said Bangladesh was a brotherly country to Pakistan and after 1971 it was agreed between both the countries that they would let the bygones be bygones.
