Qadri’s like-minded enjoyed dictator’s patronage: Mashhood

LAHORE: Punjab Law Minister Rana Mashhood Thursday said those who are currently seen flanking Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) leader Dr. Tahirul Qadri are ones who used to enjoy patronage of a dictator in the past.

Addressing a press conference here at National Hockey Stadium, he said if anyone indulges in vandalism would be dealt with in a strict manner.

He said the law and constitution meant nothing to PAT leader Tahirul Qadri. “The Maulana neither had any role in the country’s politics in the past nor will be in future,” he added.

Rana Mashhood said it was now time to stand with the families of those rendering the sacrifices of their lives and that those holding sticks and arms will be tackled strictly.

He said surveillance of workers of Minhajul Quran Secretariat was being carried out but added that the government will not lose grip on its patience.
