ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Pervez Rashid on Saturday said the National Database and Regulatory Authority (NADRA) clearly stated in its forensic report in connection with NA-122 that 'no rigging took place in the constituency' during the polls.
According to a statement issued here, Pervez Rashid quoted the NADRA report and said NADRA only confirmed 500 fake or unverified votes, while 93,852 counterfoils showed procedural irregularities.
"The ink marks on 73,478 ballot papers were found to be of good quality", Rashid said.
Reacting to the statement of Shireen Mazari, the Federal Minister further said it is not the fault of the PTI spokeswoman because she acquired the habit of telling lies from her leader Imran Khan.
He advised Dr Mazari to closely go through the NADRA report, adding the 51 thumb impressions which could not be verified must be from the PTI.
In a separate statement, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Daniyal Aziz said 'no evidence of organized rigging was found in NADRA's report in connection with NA-122'.
He claimed that NADRA does not have the capacity to verify the thumb impressions with 100 percent accuracy and it is being used as the basis by PTI to level allegations against the government.
