Geo News obtains JIT report in Imran Farooq murder case

KARACHI: Geo News has obtained the Joint Investigation Team’s report in connection with the murder case of Dr. Imran Farooq – a senior leader of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) who was assassinated in London in 2010.

According to the JIT report, MQM Chief Altaf Hussain was nominated in the case following the statement of Moazam Ali – the man who had allegedly facilitated Kamran Kashif and Mohsin Ali’s travel to London.

Moazam Ali also transferred money into bank accounts of Kamran and Mohsin – the two men who had allegedly assassinated Dr. Imran Farooq in London. The purpose was to secure London visas for the two.

Moazam Ali had also declared Kamran and Mohsin as employees of his clearing agency.

The JIT report further said that Iftikhar Hussain made all the arrangements in London for Kamran Kashif and Mohsin Ali.
