KARACHI: The police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested two accused on charges of their alleged involvement in the killing of Raja Shoaib - nephew of former Punjab law minister, Raja Basharat.
According to police, five-men riding two motorbikes were signaled by police to stop during snap-checking in Nazimabad's Unit 4 area but instead of pulling over the riders tried to escape. A police party chased the men and succeeded in capturing two of them.
"Two accused were arrested after an encounter while three others managed to escape," the police said.
Initial investigation revealed that the arrested men identified as Aadil and Umer are allegedly involved in the killing of Raja Shoaib who was murdered in Rawalpindi on December 5.
