ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister, Chaudhry Nisar on Monday while clarifying that no institution or the Federal government has any aggressive designs against Sindh said some people are using politics of Sindh and Pakistan as a shield to cover up their mistakes.
In a statement issued here today, Chaudhry Nisar said when an institution seeks explanation it is instantly compared to an attack on Sindh.
“Sindh is not under any attack on the part of any institution or Federal Government. In fact those who have been usurping resources of Sindh and encroaching upon its land are the ones attacking Sindh,” he said.
He said the size of the previous government’s corruption can be measured from the fact that even the sacred pilgrimages of Hajj and Umrah were not spared. “Those giving lectures will have to hide their faces in case I exposed their two-and-a-half-year performance,” he added.
Chaudhry Nisar said National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is an autonomous body and, thus, it does not act on the directions of Federal Government.
He said Karachi operation was initiated by the Federal government and not the provincial one.
Reacting strongly to the statements coming from the representatives of Sindh government, the Interior Minister said instead of resolving issues the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) turned the heat of their statements towards him.
