QUETTA: Sarfaraz Bugti, Home Minister Balochistan, narrowly escaped life attempt Friday when his convoy was targeted with a roadside bomb, spokesman of Balochistan government said.

Sarfaraz Bugti was on an official visit to his hometown when his convoy was hit by a roadside bomb in Baker tehsil of Dera Bugti, however, no loss of life has been reported in the attack, Levies officials said.

The bomb exploded moments after vehicle of Sarfaraz Bugti crossed the site. One vehicle in the convoy was partially damaged in the blast.

The security officials further said that the bomb was remotely controlled and a search operation has been initiated in the area.
