Bollywood superstarSalman Khan has submitted a caveat petition in India’s supreme court, requesting that hisstance be heard when the court takes up the Maharshtra government’s appeal against his acquittal in the hit-and-run case.
The case relates to Salman Khan’s SUV that had hit five people in Mumbai in 2002, killing one of them and injuring the rest.
A trial court handed down five-year sentence to Salman Khan.
However, the Bombay high court acquitted Salman Khan in December last year.
The verdict was challenged last Friday by the Maharshtra government in the supreme court.
