While smartphones continue to become more affordable, the latest offering by Indian firm Ringing Bell will surprise you with its price – that is less than the price of an extra value fast food meal.
Priced at under US$4.00 the ‘Freedom 251’ handset features a4-inch display with a 960 × 540 pixel resolution. Powered by aQualcomm 1.3GHz quad-core processor togetherwith 1GB of RAM and8GB ofinternal storage that can be further expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card. The phone features a 3.2 megapixel rear camera and VGA quality front-facing camera.
Running Google’s Android operating system will allow users to have access to over one million apps available online. It also comes preloaded with apps including Whatsapp, Facebook and Youtube.
While the hardware is not cutting edge it is an affordable offering by a relatively new company based out of Noida near New Delhi.
