THAR: A small village in Thar is teeming with schools. In an action which screams of the government inefficiency when it comes to allocation of resources, the Vaori Dora village has 50 schools for only 300 school-going children.

These schools have been named after influential landlords like Faqeer Sathu and Haji Shamim.

Literacy rates in the village remain low as most of these school buildings are either crumbling or being used as guest houses for landlords.

Officials at the education department said they knew about the issue but claimed that they were helpless, a Geo News reporter confirmed.
