KARACHI: A three member bench presided by Chief Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali heard a petition filed by the Human Rights Commission Pakistan over the Parveen Rehman murder case and ordered that its investigation be completed in a month.
The SC declared a report submitted by DIG Karachi Feroz Shah as unsatisfactory.
Police asked the bench for more time to arrest the main accused Raheem Swati who is still at large.
The bench ordered that the accused be arrested within a month and be presented in the court.
Director, Orangi Town Pilot Project Parveen Rehman was gunned down by unknown armed men in a targeted attack near the Banaras fly-over in March 2013.
Rehman was a vocal activist working against land and water mafia in the city.
