Speaking to the media here, the PTI leader said that Faisal Vawda and Barrister Waheed will be responsible for contacting the relevant organisations in the UK against “those who have taken the wealth of Pakistanis outside of Pakistan”.

Imran Khan said that the duo will make sure that the issue of Panama Papers is raised at the right level and further evidence is gathered against all Pakistanis who have taken their wealth outside of Pakistan. He said that the issue of Panama Papers was a global one and to suggest that it was a conspiracy against any individual or government was a foolish thing to say.

Faisal Vawda told Geo News that after receiving instructions from his party chief he had decided to extend his stay in London. He said that he had made appointments with lawyers in London who specialise in digging out information about the secret accounts and companies. He said it was a scandal that Pakistanis in positions of influence had stored their wealth abroad.

Barrister Waheed-ur-Rehman said that Imran Khan had done a great job by rightly highlighting the issue of Panama Papers. He said that there were legitimate questions being asked about this issue. Barrister Waheed, who is the elected president of PTI London, said that PTI in Pakistan will be fully assisted from Britain legally and through other means.
