Undeterred by attack, security personnel continue protecting polio workers

KARACHI: The attack which killed seven policemen on Wednesday did not deter security personnelfrom providing protection to anti-polio teams as they continued administering the vaccine to children under the age of five for a fourth day in a row.

Heavy contingents of police and security forces are present at Orangi Town.

Troops from the Rapid Response Force and Jamshoro police have also been called for the protection of anti-polio workers.

Police conducted a search operation in Orangi Town and arrested 18 suspects including a woman on Thursday.
