He apprised the PCB chairman about his willingness to participate in the remainder of the tournament.

Khan said, being an advisor of the Chairman PCB on cricketing affairs, it was an obligation on his part to participate in the premier 50-over domestic tournament for the larger interest of the promotion of the game in the country.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa skipperhad been fined50 per cent of his match fee for breaching level 2 of the PCB domestic code of conduct during the match against Punjab on Friday. His team had won the match by a close margin of 2 runs.

His offences reportedly included questioning an umpiring decision, showing dissent and threatening an umpire. Younis Khan had refused to show up for his disciplinary hearing, and left for Karachi, his city of residence.

Despite the call, the PCB however said the charges leveled against Younis Khan would remain in place and the case would be processed accordingly.
