BAGH: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan said on Monday that corrupt politicians cannot put country on the right track and the nation bears the cost of it through inflation.
“History shows that those who destroy a country’s institutions are incapable of fixing them ever again,” Imran said while addressing a rally in Azad Kashmir’s Bagh area.
He said that if coal from Thar is brought to use then Pakistan can produce more electricity than Iran and Saudi Arab combined.
The PTI chief was critical of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s recent announcement of development initiatives, saying a nation does not progress on the basis of motorways and new roads.
“Nawaz brings development to the nation through constructing of roads,” said Imran.
Commenting on the Panama Papers data leak and controversy circling Nawaz Sharif’s apartments bought in London, Imran said:“These Mayfair apartments in London are bought from the nation’s money.”
The PTI chief said that only two parties were ruling the people of Pakistan by taking turns. He added that people should try to change their fortunes by electing PTI.
“One thief cannot hold another thief accountable,” he said. “Imran Khan will hold the thieves accountable,” he added.
