NOWSHERA: An alleged Islamic State commander was killed while three others fled on Wednesday in a police encounter at Khushab area.
According to DIG Zulfikar Hameed, upon receiving a tip-off about the presence of terroristsin the area, Nowshera police and elite force personnel surrounded the area.
Police recovered a suicide jacket, two kilograms of explosive material, and a Kalashinkov from the slain militant.
DIG Sargodha Region said that the slain militant identified as Younus Muhammad Sher was a local IScommander and was also involved in the murder of a policeman.
