ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani strongly ruling out news media reports, which suggested that government was going to withdraw the notification of restoration of deposed judges, termed such news as ‘baseless’ and conspiracy being hatched by anti-democratic elements, Geo News reported.
According to spokesman to PM House, the Premier in his statement said the government respects judiciary, denying media reports, he was of the view that government was not going to withdraw the notification of the restoration of judges’ restoration.
“Traitors yearn to conspire government-judiciary encounter which government will foil at any cost”, he vowed. “Those who want circulation of such hoaxes can’t digest stability of government institutions”, he added.
Asking a counter question, PM Gilani said, “How could such a government opt way against judiciary, which has, in past, laid sacrifices of precious lives for restoration of its integrity and its respect?”
