KARACHI: CCTV footage of an altercation between Pakistan Coastguard personnel and Sindh Traffic Police came to light on Sunday, following which the Federal Interior Minister instructed the DG Coastguard to initiate an inquiry.
The incident occurred after Traffic Police personnel impounded two motorcycles belonging to two coastguard personnel.
According to ADIG Traffic Tahir Noorani, coastguard employees damaged the Traffic Police section and broke the windows as well assaulted the policemen.
The ADIG added, that two policemen were taken away by force by armed coastguard personnel, who were later released.
