Nation observes 68th death anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah

CM Sindh, Governor Sindh and other ministers visited the Quaid's Mausoleum today to pay homage to the founder

KARACHI: Today, September 11, 2016 marks the 68th death anniversary of Father of the Nation Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, which is being observed with due solemnity and reverence across the nation.

Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah, Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ebad, provincial ministers and other officials visited the Quaid's Mausoleum on Sunday to pay homage to the founder. They offered Fateha and laid floral wreaths on his grave.

Talking to the media on the occasion, CM Sindh Murad Ali Shah vowed to follow the principles ofQuaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

Governor Sindh DrIshratul Ebad said the nation could never forget the services rendered by the Quaid.

Special seminars and ceremonies are planned at different organisations and educational institutions to pay tribute to the Quaid.

Quaid-e-Azam passed away on this day in 1948 shortly after achieving independence for Pakistan.
