KARACHI: Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on Monday presided a cabinet meeting session where a commission to probe corruption cases was approved.

The accountability commission will comprise of retired judges and senior bureaucrats, cabinet members suggested, sources said.

The accountability commission bill will be approved in the assembly tomorrow.

A draft for registration of seminaries was also approved, sources said.

During the meeting it was suggested that restriction on government employment should be removed and appointments should be made on merit.

The cabinet members agreed that all job vacancies should be advertised in newspapers, sources said.

The police IG briefed members over law and order situation of the city. It was decided that security personnel should be hired for security of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor, it was learnt.
