TAXILA: Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan Friday said that he wouldtake to streets against corruption no matter even if he had to do it alone.
Speaking at a rally here, Khan said corruption was at its peak in the country, adding, "If the prime minister himself is involved in it, then how can the institutions be prevented from it".
He said a country is bound to decline if its institutions become incapable. "Nations are not built on the basis of abundance of resources, but strong institutions and corruption-free society cause them to rise."
The PTI chief said the poverty also originates from corruption, adding, "Our courts are weak. Had they been strong, then no one could have dared do anything illegal".
He warned the government would be responsible for the consequences if barriers placed or if the ruling party workers came in the way during the march on Raiwind.
