ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court on Tuesday dismissed objections related to the Panama Leaks probe and admitted petition by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Jamaat-e-Islami, Jamhoori Watan Party and others.
Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali heard the pleas and set aside all objections. The petitions will be heard in open court by a three-member bench of the Supreme Court.
Speaking to the media, lawyer for PTI Hamid Khan said the Supreme Court dismissed the objections after hearing arguments in the case.
Political parties are seeking disqualification of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on the basis of Panama Leaks, which revealed that his children own offshore companies.
