Unknown attackers riding motorcycle lobbed 'cracker' bomb at a shop in Kharadar and escaped: police

KARACHI: At least five people were injured Wednesday when unknown assailants lobbed a 'cracker' bomb on a shop in Karachi's busy Kharadar neighborhood.

According to police, unknown attackers riding a motorcycle threw the 'cracker'hand grenade at the shop and escaped.

Police identified the injured as 60-year-old Gulistan, 45-year-old Yaseen Butt, 50-year-old Quwat Khan, Mohammad Afzal, and Saad. The wounded were immediately shifted to the hospital.

The identity and motive of the attackers was unclear.

Taking notice of the attack, Inspector-General of Sindh Police AD Khawaja has ordered the DIG South Zone to submit a report and arrest the culprits immediately.
