KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Pakistan has accepted the resignation of its lawmaker Irum Azeem Farooque, a spokesman for the party said on Thursday.
Farooque until now was a member of the Sindh Assembly, who is currently staying in the United States, said the spokesman. He added her resignation would be forwarded to speaker of the assembly.
Farooque announced to resign from her membership of the party as well as the Sindh provincial assembly on August 22.
