Maps were recovered from the suspect who could only speak Farsi

ISLAMABAD: Security forces on Wednesday arrested a suspicious Afghan citizen from Benazir Bhutto International Airport.

The Afghani citizen was arrested from the parking lot of Benazir Bhutto International Airport and maps were recovered from the suspect who could only speak Farsi.

The suspect has been taken for interrogation by intelligence agencies.

According to sources, during initial investigation the suspect could not provide any reason for being at the airport, and was also unable prove himself as an Afghan refugee settled in Pakistan.

Islamabad Airport is already on red alert due to security concerns.
