Pakistan summons Indian envoy over ceasefire violations

Strong protest was lodged against the unprovoked ceasefire violations on 23, 24 October by the Indian forces, FO statement

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has summoned the Indian Deputy High Commissioner JP Singh over the unprovoked ceasefire violations by the Indian forces at the Working Boundary in the Phuklian and Chaprar Sectors.

Foreign Office in statement said a strong protest was lodged against the unprovoked ceasefire violations on 23, 24 October by the Indian forces.

Indian firing resulted in martyrdom of six civilians including one and a half years old innocent baby girl. Six civilians were also injured as a result of the Indian shelling.

The FO statement said that it was conveyed to the Indian side that it should investigate the incident and share the findings with Pakistan, instruct its troops to respect the ceasefire in letter and spirit, refrain from intentionally targeting the villages and maintain peace on the Working Boundary.
