PESHAWAR: Adviser to the Prime Minister Amir Muqam said on Sunday that the people of Pakistan have rejected PTI’s sit-ins and that the end of protests is a victory for the entire nation.
While addressing a press conference, Muqam said Pervaiz Khattak and his leader Imran Khan are u-turn specialists. “Attacks on PTV office and Parliament also happened during such ‘peaceful’ protests,” the Pakistan Muslim League-N leader said.
He also said that not even 5,000 people showed up in PTI’s celebratory rally.
Muqam said that CM KP Pervaiz Khattak often visits Islamabad and has never been stopped. “If he visits with the intention of holding the city under siege, he will be stopped,” he said.
Earlier, CM KP Pervaiz Khattak, while talking to Geo News, had said that the party convoy under him was “brutally treated” in Swabi. Party workers from Swabi were on their way to participate in PTI’s planned lockdown of Islamabad, when they were subjected to teargas shelling and baton-charging.
