ISLAMABAD: Emergency has been imposed at hospitals, as the number of dengue patients is rapidly rising in the country, Geo News reported Wednesday.
At least 15 more dengue patients have come to the fore in the last 24 hours in district Hyderabad, raising the overall tally to 150 in the district. Most of the patients have been shifted to Hyderabad.
At least seven cases of dengue virus have been tested positive in Benazirabad. The affected patients have been accommodated at Medical-I Ward of People’s Medical College Hospital.
At lest 24 dengue-suspected patients have thus far been brought to Nishtar College in South Punjab; of them, 13 have been confirmed as positive.
Rahim Yar Khan hospitals have announced emergency after the death caused by dengue fever and revelation of seven patients suspected of the disease.
According to Medical Superintendent of Shah Abdullah Medical College in Mansehra Dr Muhammed Niaz, at least 35 dengue virus cases have been tested positive to date across the district. Most patients are said to be out of danger.
