KARACHI: Waseem Akhtar, the elected mayor of the metropolis took charge of his office on Thursday, after receiving series of bails in a number of criminal cases against him.
Mayor Karachi expressed his disappointment by saying that he was not contacted by any concerned provincial authority neither was given any security protocol and added that due to persistent civic issues of the city, people of Karachi are forced to point their fingers towards the Chief Minister House.
Akhtar was released from central jail on Wednesday.
