RAWALPINDI: The engine and two bogies of Rawal Express derailed near Rawalpindi in the wee hours of Wednesday, railway authorities said.
The incident occurred in Kaliam Awan area and is expected to cause delays in the movement of trains across the country.
Noloss of life wasreported.
Earlier this month, two trains collided in Karachi's Landhi area, leaving at least 22 people dead and resulting in injuries to 65 others including children.
The accident had taken place in Gaddafi Town Landhi when Zakaria Express collided with the stationary Fareed Express.
Initial investigations revealed that the driver of Zakaria Express had ignored the signal, which resulted in the horrific crash.
