QUETTA: Balochistan High Court on Monday issued arrest warrants for former president General (Retd) Pervez Musharraf in the Nawab Akbar Bugti murder case.
An anti-terrorism court had earlier acquitted the former dictator in the Nawab Akbar Bugti murder case.
An appeal had been filed against the judgement in the High Court.
Bugti, former governor of Balochistan and Baloch leader, was killed in 2006 in an explosion at his hide-out cave. In 2012, Musharraf along with other high ranking officials were issued arrest warrants in the murder case by an Anti-Terrorism court. However, Musharraf was granted bail due to lack of evidence and his ill-health.
