Old design banknotes of 10, 50, 100 and 1000 phased out: SBP

All old design, big-sized banknotes of 10, 50, 100 and 1000 rupees denomination have been phased outstarting today (December 1), the State Bank of Pakistan announced.

The general public will no longer be able to use these currency notes for any transactions, the State Bank said.

The public can exchange the old design notes at the 16 designated offices of the State Bank with new design banknotes and coins of all denominations.
