ISLAMABAD: Armed men forcefully stopped a Geo news satellite van in the centre of Islamabad and physically tortured the TV channel's crew in broad daylight on Monday.
The incident took place in E-11 sector of the federal capital, where gunmen riding in a maroon-coloured Land Cruiser vehicle (registration EU-008) stopped the Geo News satellite van and started beating the driver and the satellite engineer.
The armed private guards also damaged the vehicle, breaking the glass windows and doors of the vehicle.
Geo News has acquired CCTV footage of the incident which clearly shows the armed private guards beating the crew.
A case has been registered against the unknown men by the IslambadPolice.
