Gold climbs to record Rs 37,971

KARACHI: Gold surged by Rs 129 to close at record Rs 37,971 per 10 grams in local bullion market Wednesday, as its international price also jumped to $ 1,402 an ounce, market sources said.

A leading bullion dealer said that tola (11.664 grams) price also increased by Rs 150 to Rs 44,300.

Silver jumped to Rs 694.28 per 10 grams.
